Accountant / Senior Accountant Overseas Accounting
Job Description
The successful incumbent will be part of the Overseas Accounting Department in our Finance Division. He/She will be supervising and liaising with SIN Sales Finance team and SIN Business units, the job responsibility includes :-
1. Performing review and approval of customers / agents invoices, credit notes and refunds of tickets to passengers/agents.
2. Business partner with SIN business units.
3. Review and ensure that reconciliation between sales, billings and settlement is complete and discrepancies are duly accounted for.
4. Review and ensure adequacy of bank guarantees (BGs) furnished by agents and follow up with key stakeholders. Follow up with business units on outstanding debts, if any.
5. Supervise a team of staff within the section, perform periodic review of staff job functions and operational procedures to improve controls and job rotation.
6. Work with IT team and Business Technology Finance on system enhancements projects.
7. Assist with the month-end financial closing activities, as well as other assignments and projects as assigned from time to time.
Key responsibilities
• Provide oversight and evaluate if transactions and processes are in compliance with guidelines and standards.
• Provide advice to business units on related finance queries.

Providing practical counsel to business partners while balancing control requirements and proper treatment of transaction, especially in the face of a challenging operational and regulatory landscape.
Requirements
- Good Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g. ACCA)
- At least 2 to 3 years of working experience.
