Accounting/Finance - Accountant/ Senior Accountant Cargo Financial Analysis

Job Description

The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation of timely and accurate profit and loss statements and route results for Cargo division and to enable judicious decision making by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of monthly profit and loss statement and operating statistics for Cargo Division
• Ensure that the balances in the profit and loss are reconciled with SAP, and if there are variances, these would be explained
• Preparation and analysis of monthly route results reports and ensure that routes that are unprofitable are properly explained
• Variance analysis of revenue and costs (trucking, commissions & incentives and bellyhold costs)
• Prepare detailed variance analysis and ensure accurate reporting of KPIs and variances are well explained for monitoring and performance tracking purposes
• Ensure enhancements are properly implemented and system functionalities are working properly with no major issues to enable generation of route results reports 
• Tracking of performance for Cargo division new initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification recognised by ACCA.
• Preferably 2 years of experience in accountancy or audit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills - both oral and written
• Familiarity with SAP will be an added advantage.
• Meticulous and good attention to details. 
• Good numerical and analytical skills. 
• Effective time and project management skills.
