Accounting/Finance - Associate (Revenue Recovery Unit)
Job Description
The job-holder will be a member of the Finance division’s Revenue Recovery Operation Unit whose role is to ensure compliance with audit policies that are in place to mitigate revenue leakages arising from passenger ticket sales. He/she would be involved in monitoring and reviewing the submission of relevant reports and to follow up on discrepancies detected from audit checks.
Over and above these operational duties, the incumbent may be called upon to participate in systems automation work such as performing testing and assisting the section head in implementation and resolving teething issues if applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out investigation on passenger tickets utilized or issued, and identified by the revenue accounting system as exceptions, with a view to detect and recover revenue leakages and/or identify lapses in processes for follow-up actions.
- Monitor SIA stations’ compliance with sales audit policies by tracking and reviewing reports submitted by the points of sales and following up on them to conclusion.
- Facilitate sales audit checks outsourced to audit vendors by acting as a "bridge" between the sales locations and the vendors.
- Monitor Service Level Agreements of audit vendors, review audit findings on revenue leakages and follow-up with sales locations on actions to be taken including write-offs of irrecoverable amounts.
- Perform Quality Control checks on audit work completed by outsourced vendors by auditing a minimum sample of the work, follow-up to resolve issues and/or escalate to superior for appropriate actions.
- Provide statistics and required info. to her/his supervisors in analysing the cost effectiveness of audit vendors and station's sales audit performance.
- Work on team projects as assigned by superior e.g. assist with testing of sales audit modules in revenue accounting systems to support new business initiatives.
- Any ad hoc work assigned by Executive or Department Head.
Requirements
- Possesses a Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business or IT-related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Prior experience in accounting/audit work and/or working knowledge of the airline or hospitality industry would be advantageous.

- Self-driven, able to work independently and in a team
