Accounting/Finance - Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst (Reporting)

Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Corporate Accounts & Projects department in SIA Finance Division. You will provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of financial and operating performance for SIA Group and the Parent Airline Company; and also ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing and reporting of financial results. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Analyse monthly and quarterly financial and operational results of the SIA Group and Parent Airline Company to provide commentary and insights on key drivers of financial variances and prepare monthly dashboards with analysis of budget variances for the Parent Airline Company.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, interpret data, and present meaningful financial information to senior management and the Board and provide business information and support creation of materials for various management reviews and meetings.
  • Partner with the accounting team to perform month-end closing activities with a high degree of accuracy and coordinate, prepare and review financial metrics for senior management’s KPI setting and reporting.
  • Understand the principles of Economic Value Added (EVA) and prepare the annual EVA statements, including forecasts and projections, for SIA Group for reporting to the Board and liaise with external auditor on its review.
  • Analyse the performance of the entities and operating segments for the SIA Group and Parent Airline Company to deliver the Financial Review section in the SIA Annual Report.
  • Research on industry economic data and analyse competitors’ financial statistics versus performance of the business.
  • Assist external auditors in the statutory financial audit and lead or provide support ad-hoc assignments, such as system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Coordinate, prepare and review monthly/quarterly/yearly submission of operating statistics to Singapore Exchange, Ministry of Transport, Singapore Tourism Board, Association of Asia Pacific Airlines, Air Transport World and International Air Transport Association etc.

 


Requirements

  • University Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
  • 2 to 3 years of working experience dealing with financial reporting
  • Meticulous and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good Interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Team player
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Resourceful in developing solutions and deployment of technology in resolving problems
