Accounting/Finance - Snr Accountant/Asst Manager Revenue Accounting Projects (2 Years Contract)

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the Revenue Accounting Projects department in the Finance division.

Key Responsibilities

Key change agent for Revenue Accounting for all commercial, servicing and industry (IATA) projects/initiatives or enhancements.

• Identify the affected revenue accounting business processes.
• Provide the revenue accounting technical support to commercial and servicing for their projects/initiatives or enhancements.

Review and evaluate commercial, servicing and IATA initiatives comprehensively

• Discuss with Commercial and Servicing rep on the new project/product to have a good understanding of the high-level scope of the project.
• Participate in all related workshop, discussion, or meeting to provide advice and guidance relating to revenue and financial reporting requirements, ensuring compliance of accounting standards, procedures and policies.
• Identify and establish the affected business process and any revenue accounting system changes required to ensure compliant to all regulatory and industry reporting standards.
• Review the commercial business requirement documentation and identify potential risk and financial exposures.   Ensure there are sufficient mitigating measures and controls to reduce the financial risk and exposure.
• Review the IATA projects and identify the area of changes required to support the implementation.
• Liaise with the respective revenue accounting business users to ensure that the identified changes could be implementation without affecting current business processes.
• Liaise with IATA on readiness of implementing the project.
  
  

Identify the revenue accounting system changes required to support the commercial project.

• Document the changes and prepare IPRA business requirement documentation.
• Liaise with operational team and vendor on the changes required and finalise the requirement.
• Discuss and agree with vendor on the specification and finalise the functional specification/solution proposal.
• Prepare test scenarios to allow end to end testing to be carried out to ensure system changes are as per specification.
• Monitor and work with vendor to ensure that the changes would be delivered per targeted deadline.
• Project management to ensure that all projects would be implemented per schedule without any issues. 

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or Commerce or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in revenue accounting and preferably with good knowledge of all the accounting systems and revenue accounting business processes.
