Analyst/ Senior Analyst/ Assistant Manager Group Planning

Job Description

The successful candidate will join our Group Planning and Transformation team. He/She will support the development and execution of SIA’s corporate strategy pillars of Portfolio Strategy, Multihub and New Business, which include monitoring developments in the macro-economic and competitive environment, evaluate M&A opportunities, and development for SIA Group investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities include: 

1)SIA Group Investment Portfolio

• Support in the review of strategic engagements with other businesses, including both airline and non-airline entities
• Provide support to equity joint venture airlines or plans as required
• Support review / analysis request from investment entities
• Conduct market and environment scanning for opportunities
  Evaluate new M&A opportunities

2)Strategic Planning

• Monitor macroeconomic and competitive developments, assess implications for SIA, and recommend responses.
• Assist in strategic reviews, case studies (e.g. other airline’s financial performance), and benchmarking for best practices.
• Support SIA’s strategic planning, including scenario development and activities under the strategic planning cycle.

3)SIA Group Synergy

• Facilitate coordination and promote synergy between Group portfolio airlines
• Support in initiatives to optimize Group network connectivity, aircraft resources, operational resilience and soft-dollar benefits

4)Support in Business Transformation

• Support in business transformation initiatives in the SIA Group
• Support ongoing efforts to push for org-wide AI adopting and redesign of work processes

Requirements

• Possess a university degree
• Strong numerical and analytical skills and familiar with economics and financial modelling
• Strong critical-thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with using AI to support with analysis and storytelling
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Team player with good inter-personal skills and good internal network
• Resilient and independent
• Adaptable and able to multi-task
• Proficiency with coding (Python) will be a bonus
