Assistant Manager SIA Foundation (2 Years Contract)
Job Description
The successful candidate will be part of the SIA Foundation to support the design, delivery and governance of SIA Foundation’s programmes. He/she will be responsible for the programme development and expansion, stakeholder and alumni engagement, as well as regulatory and governance compliance, to achieve meaningful impact for youth beneficiaries and strengthen the potential talent pipeline for SIA and the aviation industry. This is a 2-years contract position.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Development
- Develop, scale, and continuously improve programmes to support youth beneficiaries, including workshops, mentorship, and employment pathways.
- Build and manage mentor networks and strategic partnerships (e.g. SIA staff, corporates, sector partners) to enhance programme delivery and opportunities.
- Oversee programme operations, including grant/allowance disbursement and tracking of outcomes, impact metrics, and employment conversions.
- Manage procurement and appointment of event vendors and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Management & Stakeholder Coordination
- Lead end-to-end programme management, including planning, timelines, resources, budgets, and participant selection processes.
- Serve as the key liaison for schools, partners, mentors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of programmes and placements.
- Drive outreach efforts and ensure clear, timely, and professional communication with all stakeholders, including participants and families.
Outreach & Engagement
- Design and implement engagement strategies to build and sustain relationships with participants and alumni.
- Manage alumni platforms and initiatives (e.g. database, communications, events) to foster ongoing connection and development.
- Leverage alumni networks to build talent pipelines, while gathering insights to enhance programmes and engagement strategies.
Regulatory & Governance Compliance
- Support compliance with regulatory and governance requirements, including responses to Commissioner of Charities (COC), audits, reporting, and submissions to relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate governance records on Board composition, term limits and ensure adherence to statutory obligations and organisational policies.
Requirements
- Possess a University Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Arts, Social Sciences, Business, HR) with 10–15 years of experience in programme management, youth development, CSR, or the non-profit sector.
- Experience in a charity, IPC, or foundation environment, with understanding of governance and regulatory requirements, is an advantage.
- Familiarity with grant reporting, internal controls, and basic risk management principles.
- Strong programme and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging schools, partners, corporates, volunteers, and youth.
- Analytical ability to track and report programme outcomes, impact metrics, and governance KPIs.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage compliance, documentation, and governance processes.
- Proactive, resourceful, and empathetic, with strong integrity and a passion for youth development and social impact.
