Associate / Senior Associate Airport Operations (Safety & Security)
Job Description
The successful candidate will be a part of the Airport Operations (Safety, Security & Compliance) (AOSSC) Team, within the Customer Services & Operations (CSO) Division.
Key responsibilities:
Administration for AOSSC (Safety & Security)
- Assist Exec/Asst Mgr (AM) Airport Operations (AO) on email queries from stations and service providers on ground safety and security matters
- Assist Exec/AM AO with preparing for Safety Management System and IATA Operational Safety Audits
- Assist Exec/AM AO with conducting annual Continuous Self-Assessment (CSA) exercise
- Communicate with stations to keep them updated on any ground safety and security related process or procedural changes as well as share best practices and lessons learnt from incidents.
- Ensure Airport Operations Department (AOD) auditors’ and CSO staff training currency are up to date.
- Update the manuals with the new procedures / policies where applicable. Inform users whenever there are updates to the manuals and ensure that the updated versions are available in the GSD database
- Compile and review HIRA forms submitted by stations once every 2 years or as and when required
- Assist Exec/AM AO to review and maintain a HIRA register, which has to be reviewed once every 2 years as per SMS requirements.
- Arrange/Coordinate meetings and events as well as safety campaigns as and when required.
- Ensure payments for fines to authorities are relayed to Procurement Dept or Finance for recovery against service providers, where applicable
- Conduct surveys and collate responses from the various parties
- Any others as called upon by Manager AOSSC (MAOSSC) and Exec/AM AO
Ground Safety and Security
- Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for AOSSC and CSO once every 2 years or as and when required
- Work closely with relevant departments and stations to implement changes required to comply with regulation changes.
- Perform ground safety (ground handling and cargo) and process audits on SIN and overseas stations based on AOSSC Audit Plan.
- Assist Exec/AM AO to investigate incidents and hazard reports and provide the necessary findings and corrective actions. All reports must be investigated and updated in the system within the stipulated target date of completion
- Assist Exec/AM AO to analyze safety performance data for insights and generate/write reports
- Actively drive ground safety and security initiatives/promotion activities for implementation in stations; as well as produce/provide sustainable training on ground safety and security for ground staff.
Support Services
- Ad-hoc support for crisis or major flight disruption handling at airport or overseas stations.
Requirements
- Diploma in any discipline
- Experience in airport ops and/or flight operations is preferred
- Experience in safety management system is advantageous
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products (especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
