Cargo - Executive (Marketing and Distribution)
Job Description
The successful candidate will be part of the Cargo Sales & Marketing Department in Cargo Division. He/she will drive the Distribution project as part of SIA Cargo digital roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Review media proposals and design marketing creatives for the Marketing Department.
- Review and assess the feasibility of potential marketplace partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms and manage contracts with the selected partners. Work with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance and IT on the contracts to further Cargo’s interest.
- Ensure invoices from the platforms are accurately charged and cleared in a timely matter.
- Work with internal IT stakeholders and platform providers to optimise API cost
- Identify stations for onboarding and work on implementation plans
- Rate cards design: Collaborate with stations to steer sales
- UAT preparation: work with IT department and IBS (iPartner) on technical integration, guide and work with stations to resolve any issues with platform provider
- Monitor and track revenue/tonnage performance of the various platforms. Analyse booking trends and work with stations to increase fulfilment rates.
- Work on interview and feature articles with cargo publications/magazines
Requirements
- Possess a University Bachelor’s Degree, with one to two years experience in Marketing/Sales/Operations
- Entry level candidates with a university degree in the relevant field will be considered as well.
- Strong marketing knowledge and understanding of the local cargo market, supply chain management and logistics
- Good communication with strong conceptual thinking, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tech savvy and collaborative team player. Highly motivated individual
- Able to perform under stress with tight timeline, good time management
- Project management and change management ability
