Cargo - Executive Cargo Operations and Procedures

Job Description

The Executive is expected to develop and refine procedures and processes that ensure the safe handling and operations of cargo on our aircraft in accordance with regulatory and industry standards. He/ She will be responsible for managing the Pharmaceutical Quality Management System of the Company and the conducting of quality audits on the stations on cool chain handling process of pharmaceuticals and perishables. He/ She is also responsible in administering the Station Performance Monitoring Scheme. 

 

Key Responsibilities
Develop ground procedures and SOPs, operations manuals and disseminate to stations.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of ground procedures and SOPs for the safe and efficient handling of cargo and cargo flights.
  • Review of existing ground procedures and processes to ensure that they remain relevant.
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory and industry requirements
  • Update the procedure manuals and operations manuals with the latest information and disseminate to the line stations.

 

Support Pharmaceutical Verticals business

  • Develop, update and implement ground procedures and SOPs for the Verticals business. 
  • Attend and advise on operational matters related to the Verticals business
  • Support the Commercial team with operational knowledge with respect to the carriage of Verticals.
  • Investigate incidents and irregularities involving the Verticals and follow up with the stations and handling agents on corrective action and compliance.
  • Oversight & administrator for Pharmaceutical/Perishable Cargo Line Station Audits
  • Assess jointly with Industry Affairs the impact and requirements of new regulations on cargo operations

 

Administrative duties and Projects

  • Administrative and project duties may be assigned, which includes 

- Conferences
- Events
- Ad hoc projects/studies
- Coordination for system activities affecting operations

  • Support network stations with their enquiries on general operations issues
  • Track and support the Cargo Operations Professionals program and enhance operations competencies in the network.
  • Administer Station Performance Monitoring Scheme

 

Conduct line station, pharmaceutical and perishable cargo audits


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience in air transport operations 
  • Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Quality mindset and able to develop and validate procedures 
  • Team player and able to interact well with various stakeholders
  • Good communication skills – written, oral and active listening
