Cargo - Executive Cargo Space Management

Job Description

The candidate will be expected to perform the following roles and responsibilities:

 

  • Formulate strategy to maximise network revenue through dynamic space management.
  • Assist to oversee revenue management team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Determine, supervise and review processes to monitor and measure space wastage.
  • Monitor post-flight stats to ensure maximised planning and loading.
  • Highlight sub-optimal flights to HQ Ops/Stations Ops for monitoring build-up at uplift.
  • Highlight sub-optimal ULDs (low chargeable weights) to stations to ensure minimum chargeable weight are properly imposed.
  • Determine, supervise and review processes to measure response quality and response time to stations' requests.
  • Develop and maintain operational manual and training programs.
  • Assist Head Cargo Space Management to handle the 24x7 operational team.
  • Review IT requirements to ensure effective monitoring of quality control processes.
  • Provide support and inputs on appropriate tools/applications which can assist Cargo Space Management revenue management for better efficiency.
  • Participate in assigned projects.

 

Requirements

  • A good degree in any discipline.
  • Knowledge of the Airfreight Industry is preferred.
  • Experience in the Sales & Marketing division of an airfreight company to facilitate understanding of rate structures and product differentiation is a good to have but not essential.
  • Experience in the Operations division of an airfreight company to facilitate understanding of load planning and aircraft configuration is a good to have but not essential.
  • Ability to learn things very quickly.
  • Ability to make quick and sound decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good people management skills.
