Cargo - Revenue Planning Analyst (2 Years Contract)

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of Cargo Division, Cargo Commercial Planning Department. He/She will optimise route profitability for SIA Cargo global network through effective allocation of network capacity to stations with the aim of optimising the Company’s network revenue. The decision made by him/her in this position has a direct and immediate impact on the revenue and profitability of the Company.

 

Key Responsibilities

Formulate strategy to maximise network revenue through dynamic space management

  • Review seasonal capacity
  • Map out network objectives and determine guidelines for flight allocations, hurdle rate settings and overbooking.
  • Conduct regular research and analysis of market data (e.g. WACD/CASS/Airport data) to map out demand flows
  • To utilize innovative systems solutions to assist in the objective of maximizing network profit and yield management
  • Stay abreast of market demand situation
  • Work closely with team on the management of space capacity with sales steering initiatives to optimize network profitability

 

Route Review and Analysis

  • Close monitoring and analysis of flight route performance
  • Work with team for flight space/yield adjustment

 

Review of Space/Rate Utilisation

  • Review post-flight stats to ensure optimal space utilization
  • Ensure stations’ materialization of space and rate allocation.
  • Monitor yield trends and utilization of buffer space closely. When flights show declining demand and stations are unable to command the required yields for premium space, team must be flexible enough to switch emphasis from yields to loads.

 

Directed Selling – Guide sales offices to grow station sales

  • Analysis of historical data, marketing intelligence (e.g. WACD, CASS), industry data (e.g. PMI), trending, etc.
  • Identify business opportunities and provide recommendation to Cargo Sales offices
  • Develop directed selling targets to steer regional office and stations towards HO’s network objectives
  • Work closely with Sales Office on their monthly action plans
  • Provide directed selling guidelines to CSM team and sales stations to improve network revenue
  • Monitor stations’ performance on Directed Selling KPIs
  • Conduct regular review on the effectiveness of directed selling initiatives and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal contribution to network

 

Review IT requirements to ensure effective monitoring of quality control processes i.e. space utilisation

 

Review and decide on appropriate tools/applications which can assist CCP for data analytics

 

Perform Business Analyst role for revenue management functions

 

Departmental Administration

 

Any other cross-divisional or external projects

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Knowledge of the airfreight industry/revenue management/data analysis preferred
  • Strong analytical & planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure/make quick and sound decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen
