Cargo - Senior Executive/ Asst Manager First Mile (Upstream) E-Commerce Logistics Operations

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of Cargo Division, Digital and E-Commerce Logistics department.  He/She will be part of the Parxl team to expand Parxl’s operations network, improve Parxl product service offerings, and contribute to Parxl sales and revenue.

 

Responsibilities
First Mile / Upstream Operations 

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the first mile supply chain.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Oversee pick-ups, export documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Manage and optimize air freight rates / routes.

 

Day to Day Operations

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and measurable metrics for the team and vendors/ partners to improve work efficiency.
  • Analyse performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute and work with Parxl product and commercial team to improve operation efficiency and value to customers; (i.e. product solutioning)
  • Provide resolution for any exceptions in daily operation processes; perform review on exceptions handling.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners.
  • Manage and coach a team of associates in day-to-day operations and matters.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Preferably at least 2 years of working experience specializing in E-commerce / Logistics / Supply chain or equivalent industry.
  • IT savvy.
  • Self-starter and able to multi-task.
  • Able to respond quickly and effectively to the challenges faced in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a practical approach to problem solving and process improvement.
  • Positive energy and attitude.
  • Team player and able to work effectively in a team.
