Executive/Senior Executive Partnerships & International Relations

Job Description

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing SIA Group’s partnerships with other airlines, and with government, regulatory and industry stakeholders to secure opportunities for SIA’s growth. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Managing the overall relationship with a portfolio of airline partners and industry stakeholders to deliver value and ROI for SIA within budget and in line with target timelines. Some examples involves: 

  • Analyzing interline sales performance of partners and other relevant traffic flows to establish SIA’s commercial position and identify appropriate business plans to develop new markets and grow network and group revenue
  •  Negotiating interline settlement and codeshare agreements, to achieve win-win outcomes for SIA and airline partner, seeking alignment of differing commercial priorities between SIA and partner, as necessary.
  •  Obtaining feedback from internal and external stakeholders across all functional business areas in developing and refining business plans.
  •  Preparing materials for airline partnership and industry stakeholder meetings at senior management and working levels, escalating issues and formulating SIA’s negotiation position for Senior Management where necessary.
  • Implementing new/enhanced interline / codeshare / Alliance / JV cooperation with identified partners, including system interfaces and settlement processes.

 

Leading and participating in initiatives to achieve sustained business process improvement and transformation across departmental activities. Some examples include

  • Working with, guiding and developing associate team members in their day to day work, and in participating in training sessions as necessary
  • Participating in projects combining systems enhancements, office automation and other end to end improvements to deliver improved capabilities, reduce friction and higher efficiencies.
  • Where relevant, work with supporting departments to manage budgeting, financial control, procurement and administrative tasks in support of business goals
  • Supervise direct reports where applicable, including performing performance reviews, ensuring welfare and other HR administration and support tasks. 

 

The candidate may also be assigned a combination of International Relations and Airline Partnerships portfolios, depending on job requirements.
 

Requirements

  • A good degree in any discipline. 
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical and inductive/deductive reasoning skills.
  • Good negotiation and consensus building skills.
  • Able to build and maintain open and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to multitask, work under pressure, and highly motivated to achieve optimum results.
