Information Technology - Lead Software Engineer (AIOps and Resilience)
Job Description
Singapore Airlines is seeking an innovative and technically strong Lead Software Engineer, AIOps & Resilience to design and build intelligent solutions that transform IT operations, IT service management and operational resilience.
This is a hands-on engineering and technical leadership role. You will lead the development of AI-powered automation, operational analytics and self-healing capabilities that improve service reliability, reduce manual effort, accelerate incident resolution and enhance the IT user experience.
You will work closely with architects, platform engineers, cybersecurity specialists and IT service management teams to deliver scalable, secure and resilient technology solutions. The successful candidate will also help educate teams, promote responsible AI adoption and drive modern engineering practices across IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain software solutions that improve IT operations, ITSM and operational resilience.
- Build AI-powered capabilities, including intelligent assistants, predictive analytics, incident insights, knowledge management and automated remediation.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of software solutions, covering solution design, architecture, development, testing, deployment and production support.
- Develop APIs, automation frameworks, integrations and cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, observability, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Explore and implement self-healing and proactive operations capabilities to detect, diagnose and resolve issues more effectively.
- Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, cybersecurity teams and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure and resilient solutions.
- Ensure AI and automation solutions are governed responsibly, considering security, privacy, explainability and human oversight.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and champion software engineering, testing and operational best practices.
- Influence and educate IT teams on AI adoption, automation, modern ITSM and reliability engineering.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or automation development.
- Strong software development experience in one or more languages, such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript or Node.js.
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise applications, APIs, integrations and automation solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, containers, testing and modern software delivery practices.
- Knowledge of generative AI with intelligent agent solutions with hands-on experience with generative AI and coding tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or equivalent, including code generation, testing, debugging and automation is highly desirable.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Datadog or Dynatrace is advantageous.
- Experience applying AI or automation to IT operations, ITSM, incident management or enterprise workflows is advantageous.
