Instructor Learning & Development (Weight & Balance/Load Control)

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the Corporate Learning Centre under Human Resource Division. As an Instructor, he/she will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessments in the domain of Aircraft Weight and Balance or Load Control to ensure SIA ground staff and relevant partners are certified to meet regulatory requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Courses & Assessments: Conduct training sessions and assessments for Aircraft Weight and Balance or Load Control, ensuring high learner engagement and accurate assessment marking.
  • Develop Courseware: Create and update training materials, ensuring they are current, easy to understand, and compliant with relevant regulations by IATA, CAAS or SIA.
  • Support E-Learning: Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to develop e-learning content, providing subject matter expertise.
  • Learning Administration & Engagement: Assist with administrative tasks related to training, support learners and associate trainers, and help organize learning events such as Learning & Innovation For Everyone (LIFE) festival.

 

Requirements

  • Possess a diploma in any discipline, with an active/current certificate in aircraft weight & balance or load control.
  • Experience in working with aircraft weight and balance or load control, including pre-load calculations, load distribution and planning, trimming for balance, preparation and verification of loading instructions and load sheets, timely dispatch of operational messages, and ensuring structural weights are within safety parameters.
  • Experience with Amadeus Altéa Departure Control Flight Management (FM) system, or related systems, for load control optimization.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in training delivery is preferred.
  • Able and willing to undertake duty travel to deliver training.
