Legal & Compliance - Exec/ Senior Exec/ Asst. Manager Legal and Compliance (Disputes & Regulatory)
Job Description
The successful candidate will join the Legal & Compliance Department in SIA's Corporate Planning Division.
Key Responsilities
(a) Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
- Manage actual and potential civil litigation matters involving SIA in Singapore and overseas, including internal reviews and investigations relating to those matters, and managing outside counsel on such litigation matters
- Working with internal clients in Singapore and overseas on the handling of passenger claims
- Advising on compliance with aviation consumer protection legislation / regulations globally and investigations undertaken by regulatory authorities
- Advising on compliance with production orders / requests made by law enforcement agencies / regulatory authorities in Singapore and overseas
(b) Regulatory compliance
- Advising on queries relation to, as well as compliance with, sanctions and anti-bribery / anti-corruption legislation / laws (including reviewing contractual terms relating to sanctions and anti-bribery / anti-corruption laws);
- Drafting and reviewing sanctions and anti-bribery / anti-corruption policies and procedures and working with internal clients in Singapore and overseas on the implementation of such policies and procedures.
Requirements
- a law degree
- at least three (3) years of legal experience from a law firm or in-house
- experience in handling litigation matters (aviation or cross-border litigation experience preferred) and/or knowledge of sanctions / anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations; and
excellent contract drafting skills - Admission to the Singapore Bar is not required
