Maintenance Manager, (Based in London, UK)

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of SIA Engineering Division. He/ She is responsible for overseeing the aircraft technical handling and airworthiness support of SIA operations, ensuring compliance with Singapore airworthiness requirements and SIA standards.
He/She should be an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer willing to be based in London (Heathrow), United Kingdom, on local UK employment terms.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily aircraft technical operations across assigned stations in Europe, ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements.
  • Manage and ensure performance of Technical Handling Agents (THA) and Ground Handling Agents (GHA), meeting SIA standards for safety, timeliness, and KPIs.
  • Provide aircraft certification and maintenance release release to SIA aircraft as required.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders during delays/aircraft on ground (AOG) situations to restore aircraft serviceability quickly.
  • Manage spares inventory, including sourcing, reporting, and replenishment in line with operating plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with authorities, airlines, agents, vendors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Monitor, report, and analyse operational performance (e.g., delays, audits, monthly reports) and recommend improvements.
  • Support budgeting, audits, vendor evaluation, asset upkeep, and general administration, including staff supervision.

 

Requirements

  • CAAS SAR-66 AML holder preferred, with at least 5 years’ experience as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer on a minimum of two SIA aircraft types in a line maintenance environment (or foreign AML convertible to CAAS SAR-66).
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Air Navigation Order, Singapore Airworthiness Requirements, and Quality Systems.
  • Good technical knowledge and troubleshooting familiarity with SIA-operated aircraft types.
  • Experience in budget preparation and management is a plus.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including irregular or extended hours.
  • Self-reliant, adaptable, and resourceful, with strong communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate to London, UK and travel at short notice.
