Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Dining Design & Development

Job Description

You will join the Dining Design & Development team within the Inflight Services & Design Department, Customer Experience Division, supporting the governance and development of Singapore Airlines’ inflight and lounge meal offerings. In this role, you will strengthen budget planning and expenditure oversight, while partnering internal stakeholders and catering partners to review product policies, enhance meal offerings and support the timely implementation of F&B initiatives.


Your work will contribute directly to the world-class experience that Singapore Airlines delivers to customers—by ensuring that our inflight/lounge meal propositions are delivered to SIA’s standards, operationally feasible and cost-effective. Key Responsibilities

Inflight/Lounge F&B Policy, Development & Implementation
•    Manage inflight/lounge dining experience, including end-to-end product policy reviews, by coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, operational feasibility and effective implementation.
•    Support product development and enhancement initiatives for inflight/lounge meal offerings, balancing customer experience, operational requirements and cost efficiency.
•    Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to support the successful and timely implementation of initiatives.

Budget Planning, Monitoring & Governance
•    Manage the department’s annual fixed and variable budgets, ensuring effective budget planning, monitoring and governance.
•    Prepare budget analyses, expenditure reports and variance commentary to support management decision-making and timely corrective actions.
•    Identify and recommend cost-saving and productivity initiatives aligned with business priorities and service objectives.
•    Coordinate division-wide budget consolidation and forecasting processes, partnering business units to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and enhance meal cost analysis tools and dashboards to strengthen governance, expenditure monitoring and management reporting.

Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement
•    Support audit activities by maintaining documentation, addressing audit observations, implementing corrective actions and recommending process/system improvements to strengthen governance and compliance.

 

Requirements
•    Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Operations, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
•    Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; able to interpret spend drivers and communicate variances clearly.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and stakeholder updates.
•    Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills; comfortable working with business units and external partners.
•    Organised and able to manage multiple workstreams and deliver within tight timelines (e.g. budget cycles, audits, product rollouts).
