Senior Executive / Assistant Manager Inflight Services & Design (Dining Design & Development)
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing new and existing inflight and lounge food and beverage (F&B) concepts, including the selection of new serviceware and glassware.
The successful candidate will coordinate the requirements for new and existing F&B equipment and liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure operational needs and budget considerations are adhered to. There will be close collaboration with cabin crew and operational teams to implement and refine service processes and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1. Development of New and Existing Inflight & Lounge F&B Concepts:
- Conduct market research and analyze current F&B trends to develop innovative and appealing inflight and lounge offerings.
- Collaborate with culinary experts to create unique food and beverage offerings that align with SIA’s image and customer expectations.
- Select and source new serviceware and glassware that enhance the overall dining experience and ensure durability and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop, co-ordinate and implement detailed plans for the rollout of new F&B concepts, including cabin crew training on inflight offerings and service protocols.
2. Coordinate New and Existing F&B Equipment Requirements:
- Determine equipment requirements for F&B concepts in collaboration with culinary and cabin crew teams.
- Liaise with Procurement Department for evaluation, selection and purchase to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, specifications, and project progress.
- Carry out and coordinate fit-checks of inflight equipment and organize both ground and operational inflight trials of equipment to assess their performance.
- Review performance of inflight equipment for feedback to suppliers or carry out any modifications for performance improvement.
3. Collaboration with Cabin Crew and Operational Teams:
- Work closely with cabin crew and operational teams to review and refine service processes and workflows.
- Ensure seamless integration of new and existing serviceware into daily operations, enhancing efficiency and service delivery.
- Gather feedback from cabin crew and operational teams to continuously improve service processes and address any challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong vendor engagement and management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of current F&B trends and best practices, and inflight service procedures will be an advantage.
