Trainee Technician Programme

As a Trainee Technician, you will undergo a structured 16-month program to be trained as a dual-trade Technician specializing in both Mechanical (B1) and Avionics (B2) tasks with SIAEC. As a dual-trade Technician, you will carry out mechanical or avionics maintenance tasks on an aircraft as instructed by the LAEs in accordance with manual procedures and regulation requirements.

Certifying Trainee Technician Programme

As a Certifying Trainee Technician, you will undergo a structured 28-month program to be certified as a CAT A Certifying Technician with SIAEC. As a Certifying Technician, you will be able to issue certificates of release to service following minor scheduled line maintenance and completion of simple tasks in line and base maintenance.

Aircraft Maintenance Licence Trainee Programme

As an Aircraft Maintenance License Trainee, you will undergo a structured 44-month training program to qualify for a CAT B License from CAAS. Upon successful completion of the programme, AMLTs will be established as Licensed Aircraft Engineers and perform/certify aircraft maintenance task including inspection, repair, modification and functional tests.

Fresh graduates with an Engineering Degree from a recognised university or with an Engineering Diploma from a local Polytechnic (meet GPA requirement) are welcome to apply!

Trainee Aircraft Engineer Programme

The Trainee Aircraft Engineer Programme is a 28-month structured training programme to qualify for a CAT B License from CAAS. Upon successful completion of the programme, TAEs will be established as Licensed Aircraft Engineers and perform/certify aircraft maintenance task including inspection, repair, modification and functional tests.

This Programme is only open to graduates from the Singapore Institute of Technology’s (SIT), Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Aircraft Systems Engineering (ASE), a 3-year degree programme, developed in collaboration with SIAEC.
