Payroll Accountant

Reporting to Manager (Expenditure & Payroll), the Payroll Accountant plays a strategic and integral role in Finance Division and will be responsible to drive improvement initiatives and ensure timeliness, accurate and completeness of payroll. He/she will support CFO and VP Finance to improve efficiency in transactional operations and enhance role of Finance as strategic Business Partners providing actionable business insights & performance measurement.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll team
2. Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness for all payroll runs (regular/off-cycle runs) and CPF submissions
3. Review/prepare journals for posting by Staff at month end
4. Prepare monthly & quarterly payroll variance analysis report
5. Review monthly reconciliation of all other payroll related accounts
6. Review monthly recharge to holding company, subsidiaries and JVs
7. Review transactions performed by team for increment, upgrading, promotion and contract renewal
8. Prepare quarterly payment for Directors' fees & Technology Advisory Committee (TAC)
9. Review and manage outstanding receivables from ex-staff with HR Division
10. In charge of Annual IR8E Exercise
11. Preparation of annual payroll budget
12. Coordinate quarterly reporting on PDPA & Fines
13. Perform annual system review on payroll authorisation & payroll vendor master
14. In charge of annual DR Testing and annual LCP upgrade
15. Undertake any other ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
1. Degree in Accounting, ACCA or related field
2. At least 3 years of relevant experience leading payroll teams in large SMEs or MNCs
3. Experience using SAP Payroll or other payroll systems
4. Must demonstrate confidence, good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
5. Ability to drive project with sense of urgency and deal effectively with ambiguity
