Sheetmetal Trainee Technician

Job Description

Programme

Selected applicants will undergo a 7-month classroom and practical training programme with OJT to be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a Sheetmetal Technician. Upon successful completion of training, you will be appointed as a Sheetmetal Technician.

Training

1. Classroom training on specified sheetmetal related topics.
2. On-the-job (practical) training at the Base Maintenance Division
3. Job Scope (Upon completion of traineeship)
4. Perform aircraft sheetmetal layout and templates
5. Manufacture and repair of structural parts
6. Perform metal forming operation
7. Interpret basic drawings and blueprint
8. Fabricate related sheet metal and assemblies

Requirements
1. NITEC or Higher NITEC graduates in any Engineering discipline
2. Diploma in any Engineering discipline, Skills Certificate (SKM) in sheet metal work related courses (experience in aerospace will be preferred) for Non Singaporeans
3. Fluent in English with good communication skills
4. Strong interest in a technical role in aviation
